On March 22nd last we welcomed Stephen from Trócaire to speak to our Transition Year students about the work that Trócaire carries out throughout the world. Trócaire was founded by the Irish Bishops in 1973 and our Bishop, Bishop William is the current chair.
During his presentation Stephen spoke about issues like global justice and injustice, Human Rights,
Women’s empowerment, women in leadership and these topics from some great discussions amongst our students particularly about the number of women in politics in Ireland and around the world.
