The under 19s basketball team played their first game this year in the under 19s schools cup against a strong Thurles team.

Leo morris opened the scoring with a three pointer after 3 minutes of no score between both sides you could tell by the first 3 minutes it was going to be a close game. 

Leo Morris and Adam cox getting the scores in the first quarter with some good passes from Joe o Connell . 

Ross Nsguba and Alex Finnegan were in the paint grabbing rebounds and having big stops in defence, it was a bit of a slow start for the col but eased into the game in the second half with Rian Connick, Rossa Ryan Bovey, Albert Parisi and Izan Gomez making huge plays in the 3rd and 4th quarter respectively on offence and defence. 

Scorers today were Adam Cox, Leo Morris, Alex Finnegan, Rian Connick and Gomez.

The game finished with a 50-45 Coláiste Muire win! Well done lads!
