Transition Year Young Social Innovators attended the Powering Up event held on 24th January 2023 in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin
Students had the opportunity to explore climate action and energy related issues from a number of unique perspectives through a series of thought-provoking workshops. Teams were supported to consider how ideas relating to sustainability, biodiversity, climate justice, degrowth and more might inform their own project ideas and outcomes.
They took part in a fun and creative challenge posed by Eirgrid and were given an opportunity to input their own ideas into how they’d like to see the future of Ireland’s energy sector develop.
A very engaging and insightful day had by all!
