Over the last two Wednesdays all year groups in Coláiste Muire has received a presentation from the Road Safety Authority (RSA). We were thrilled to welcome Ciara from the RSA to speak to our students about the importance of road safety and pedestrian safety.

Ciara spoke to our Senior Cycle students about being a safe pedestrian, learning to drive and driver safety. She also spoke to our students about being responsible as a passenger, wearing a seatbelt and driving under the influence of drink and or drugs. She completed her presentation by going through the Driver Theory Application and preparation.

Ciara explained to our Junior Cycle groups the importance of being safe and being seen while using our footpaths and roads. She also talked through some helpful tips to help us all as road users.

We will have a number of Hi Vis Jackets and Arm Bands in our school Reception Area for those needing them on their journeys to and from school, especially as we enter the winter months. Please feel free to take one, if you need one.

Thank you to the RSA for providing such a comprehensive presentation on Road Safety.
