January 24th – 31st saw the celebration of Catholic Schools Week. While Catholic Schools Week is primarily an initiative for Catholic Schools and celebrates their identity, its’ material on faith and resilience is suitable to all multi-denominational schools.

To mark the week in the Diocese of Cloyne, Mass was live-streamed from the Cathedral Parish website and staff and students from all over the Diocese joined in online.

Bishop William Crean celebrated the Mass, and he was assisted by Fr Tom McDermott and Fr Aquin Casey.

The liturgy was organized by the R.E. Team in Coláiste Muire – thanks to Fr Tom (school chaplain) for his guidance.

The music was led by our own Mr Dominic Finn.

Colaiste Muire’s own TY students Muireann and Warren did the Readings & Prayers of the Faithful, while 2nd Year student Faye led the singing for the mass.

As we have not been able to join together as a school community this year, it was a lovely opportunity to gather together online.
