Consent – A Talk for Parents by the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit

Margo Noonan Guest Speaker – We are thrilled to welcome Margo to our school to speak to parents and guardians on Thursday 22nd September at 7.30pm. 

Margo’s presentation comes highly recommend and works in the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit in Cork City.

She speaks about consent, including definition of consent and applying it to real life with anonymized real life case studies, busting myths and fears about sexual assault and rape, the law around sexual violence including the laws pertaining to social media and how it applies to young men/ women and developing skills to deal with the situations that they may encounter.

The SPHE Dept. are working with the Parent’s Council on this event, and all are welcome to attend this presentation of essential information for all parents delivered in a frank and open way that will help us all to open a conversation with our teenagers.
