Here are some highlights of Christmas in Coláiste Muire this week.

We had our Coláiste Christmas Jumper Day on Monday for Cobh Community Hospital; we raised over €800. We look forward to presenting a cheque to them in the New Year. If you would like to make an online donation here is the link https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/cobhxmasjumperday22

We also had a hugely successful Food Drive for Cork Penny Dinners. Thank you to everyone who donated and to Rian for again overseeing this year’s Drive.

Some of our senior religion classes participated in theCare Park initiative. They wrote letters to residents of nursing homes in Cork. Our Home Ec students created beautiful Christmas stockings. We also visited Cobh Community Hospital to sing Carols for the residents and had an impromptu Concert in the Dining Assembly on Tuesday.

This Christmas remember in our thoughts and prayers those in our school community who are spending Christmas without a loved one.

Our school will close today at 12noon and will reopen on Thursday 5th January at 8.50am for a normal school day.

Wishing all our Colaiste Muire Community a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year-thank you all for your outstanding support this term. Nollaig Shona Daoibh go léir!
