The Valued Contribution Award

This year’s Valued Contribution Award goes to a student who really epitomised the title of this award. Their willingness to contribute to school life was extraordinary, in particular through involvement in the Meitheal, first year mentoring programme, and as a member of the Students Council.

Congratulations to Jenny Bell.

The Harambee Award (“All Pull Together” in Kiswahili)

The student receiving this award displays determination and commitment in all that he does. His enthusiasm and dedication to GAISCE was outstanding. Always encouraging and motivating others around him. He is truly an all-rounder. Well done Aaron Murphy.

The Civic Spirit Award

This student went above and beyond before Christmas last year. Raising awareness and coordinating the school food drive for Cork Penny Dinners. Almost single handedly Rian, gathered, sorted and personally delivered a record amount of donation from the Colaiste Muire school community. Giving up his own free time, at breaks, lunch and after school, Rian embodies the true spirit of Social Justice in Colaiste Muire.  A very deserving recipient, Rian McGrath.
