Two 5th year Geography classes visited Mitchelstown Caves on Friday the 19th of November.

The students got the chance to explore the caves and a variety of dripstone features during their guided tour. 5th year students are currently learning about underground landforms as part of their leaving cert geography.

It was a great opportunity to view real life examples of these fascinating underground landforms.

The trip concluded with a visit to Cahir Castle. Students got to explore the grounds of the castle and learn about the history of the Butler family.
